The Illinois Fire Service Institute, along with our partners at the Fire Safety Research Institute, National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, have conducted numerous studies examining the cardiovascular and chemical exposure risks associated with firefighting operations. This session will focus on updates from this series and key outcomes, highlighting best-practices that can be easily implemented to improve the health and safety of firefighters.
